自古以来,道德及道德教育就是我国传统文化的核心价值追求。然而,在当前,我国的道德及道德教育却很薄弱,这一现象引起了人们的关注和重视。探寻并解析道德及道德教育的症结所在,不应停留在浅表性的外在因素的层面,而应透过表层的外在因素去探寻隐藏在深层的、历史性的内在原因,只有这样,才能消解当前道德及道德教育中存在的症结。这种深层的、历史性的内在因素主要有:对待传统文化曾经的非理性的错误的态度导致道德的盲区和消极因素极度膨胀;政治运动对做人本分的消解;几十年来理性的缺失导致愚昧的滋长;改革开放关注了经济的发展,忽视了人们的道德和人格的同步提升。世俗化进程是20世纪下半期我国社会生活的主要内容,其中,认知的偏颇与失误使道德及道德教育出现了严重的滑坡:将贵族精神与平民世界相对立,将知识和知识分子与劳苦大众相对立。

Morality and its education are the core value pursuit of our culture from the ancient time in China, and there are also some serious problems which constantly draw people's attention. To explore and analyze the crux of morality and its education, superficial and external factors are not enough. We should explore its historical and internal reasons that are deeply underlying, so that we may have specific solution to the problem. These reasons include: moral blind spots and inflation of negative factors caused by the once unreasonable attitude towards traditional culture, the destruction of duty of man by political movements, the growing of ignorance caused by absence of reason for several decades, the negligence of improvement of moral and personality at the same time with the economic growth in the opening up and reforms. The process of secularizing has been the main content of social life in our country ever since the second half of the 20th century. We should not neglect the influence of the cognitive bias and error of this process on morality and its education. The fault of this bias and error lies in the opposition of noble spirit to the civilian world, and the opposition of knowledge and intellectuals to the toiling masses.
