白马藏族民间故事题材具有分合表征,即族群历史的艺术呈现、底层意识的细腻表达和地域叙事的鲜亮色彩,但其相当数量的作品题材表现为三者的共同演绎,形成一个独有的联合体。这种表征,因时间轴线上演绎的白马藏族生活而存在,也因白马藏族族群的集体阅历而具备价值。它反映在民族文学发展史上,是因其鲜明的特色为向后的不断“流布”注入了最顽强的生命的活力。
