语文教研不必局限于语文教学,如“当代何以出不了大师”“科学与人文孰轻孰重”等重大教育课题,语文课程也可以给出自己的解释。语文教研的学科特色,也不必局限于语文教学,如“不同学科教学的特殊性”“爱读书爱写作不爱语文课”等看上去有些边缘化的问题,都与语文教学直接或间接相关,都值得语文教研工作者关注。

Chinese teaching research shouldn't be limited within Chinese teaching. Chinese teaching can give its own explanation on such problems as "why couldn't the contemporary China generate masters", and "which is more important, science and humanity". The distinctiveness of Chinese teaching research shouldn't be confined to Chinese teaching, either. Some marginalized problems such as "uniqueness of different subjects teaching" and "students like reading and writing but do not like Chinese lessons" are concerned with Chinese teaching directly or indirectly, which are all worth the close attention of Chinese teaching research.
