人大代表的选举是人民代表大会制度运作的基础。人大代表选举的实践体现了人民代表大会的公信力。普遍平等的选举、直接选举和间接选举相结合、无记名差额选举等选举方式为人民代表大会赢得了公信力。但是,直接选举层级低,间接选举层次多,选举的竞争性、选择性不强,代表与选民关系不够密切,个别代表素质较低等选举中存在的诸多瑕疵影响了人民代表大会的公信力。必须把完善人大代表选举当作政治体制改革的重要内容来推进,从而进一步提升人大的公信力。
