The smooth operation of the Criminal Procedure Law is indispensible with a dutiful criminal procedure professional team with their hard work; and criminal procedure professional team building is inseparable from shaping and cultivating criminal procedure practitioners. This paper aims to explore the needs of criminal procedure practitioners based on the theory of Abraham Maslow＇ s hierarchy of needs. Through fully satisfying the practitioners ＇ basic requirements and self-actualization needs and respect requirements, we can activate their potential and develop a subjective initiative so as to build a high quality, high standard criminal procedure professional team which can provide a solid guarantee for criminal proceedings work.
