废名诗歌传统与现代的艺术特色,在现代诗歌史上独树一帜。废名诗歌以传统和现代结合的艺术特征主要表现在:对温(庭筠)李(商隐)诗词传统的继承,承续了晚唐诗歌风格,也转化和指向了对荒诞现实世界的指认;用禅宗“公案式”思维结构诗歌,披上了佛家顿悟和哲思的袈裟,也转化和指向了现代人的虚无和寂寞;选择繁密的佛家经典意象,营建了一个参禅悟道的集合生成的意象群,也转化和指向了现代派的唯美—颓废。废名用传统的方式表达了现代人的感受,其传统“袈裟”外衣下包裹着的是现代人的孤独和寂寞。

In the history of modern poetry, Feiming' s poetry is definitely a unique existence. The traditional and modern artistic features of Feiming' s poetry are mainly embodied in the following aspects: Feiming's poetry carries on Li Shangyin and Wen Tingyun's poetic tradition, inherits the late Tang Dynasty poetry style, and points out the ahsurdity of the real world. Adopting Zen's thinking way, Feiming's poetry not only has the characteristics of Buddhist insight, but also expresses the modern emptiness and loneliness. The Buddhist classical images not only creates a group of Zen enlightenment images, but also transforms and points to the modern aesthetic, that is, decadence. Feiming expresses the modernist art pursuit through the traditional way in his poetry, and reveals the modern people's loneliness and solitude which is hidden under the traditional cassock.
