Jing Yi refers to the physicians with the Nestorianist faith in the Yuan dynasty,whose medical philosophy and practice patterns were associated with their religious identity. Jing Yi practiced medicine and preached religion.The former is the means,and the later is fundamental. In the context of Sinicization of a large number of Semu people,Jing Yi effectively safeguarded the traditional beliefs and maintained the independence and automony of cultural personality.
