New China＇s librarianship started from taking over and maintaining,then completely mastered the situation of library resources through counting book collection. Through thought reform and transforming idea,libraries quickly set up the idea of serving the people,especially the thought of service for the workers,peasants and soldiers,and completed the transformation of the service idea and focus in librarianship in that time. Through vigorously establishing rural libraries（ rooms）,trade union libraries（ rooms）,army libraries（ rooms）,and strengthening the system construction,personnel training,beginning to focus on the research on library science theory and other activities,libraries successfully met the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the national leadership organizations on the construction of librarianship during the recovery period of national economy. 123 refs.
