Aboriginal people in Canada are called the First Nation, Metis and lnuit. This paper describes the operating mechanism of boarding school which caused suffering and tragedy to Canadian Aboriginal people, and examines the baneful influence of these schools on students' life, family and culture. It also makes a full disclosure of aboriginal people' s courage and determination for justice in the past 20 years, and praises highly the work of the associations in providing help and advice for aboriginals as well as the efforts made by Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission to support them.
