老子的“知足”思想是在春秋时期各诸侯国相互纷争的大背景下产生的。“知足”的内涵是尚柔、不争、知止,体现在政治上就要统治者戒贪欲,薄赋敛;体现在国家关系上,就要各安本土,和平共处,不要互相攻伐。“知足”的思想在当今仍具有重要意义。
노자적“지족”사상시재춘추시기각제후국상호분쟁적대배경하산생적。“지족”적내함시상유、불쟁、지지,체현재정치상취요통치자계탐욕,박부렴;체현재국가관계상,취요각안본토,화평공처,불요호상공벌。“지족”적사상재당금잉구유중요의의。
As the main carrier of Laozi＇s thought and an important part of Taoist culture, Laozi has always been closely watched. Learning Laozi, we should not only to pay attention to the thought of Laozi, but also to take notice of the hidden logical relations and the essence after these thoughts, there are lots of thoughts in I.aozi, including ＂d~ licatc＂, ＂contentment and no fight＂, ＂Don＇t disturb the people＂, ＂anti war＂, ＂small territory and population＂ etc.. Many previous scholars is more focused on a point of Laozi rarely to its spiritual essence ＂contentment＂. It can not be denied that Laozi has its spe cific historical background. However, learning and understanding the essence of its coment still has an important significance to improving our moral culture.
