个体化社会把个体转变为自我社会生活的书写者。脱嵌于传统迫使个体的选择与判断依赖于自我决定,人的个体特性从“给定”转变为“即时性”,不确定性急剧增加。搬迁导致了传统的销蚀或断裂,个体化社会致使移民的无根感与社会适应自我中心化,而客观参照体系的缺失使其重新嵌入面临着恐惧与迷失的风险。风险的应对首先依赖于移民个体对自我与他者关系范畴的理性认知,但由于个体化转向消解了传统与权威体系,自下而上的路径成为移民重新嵌入的选择。

Individualized society makes everybody turn into the writer of his own life. The individ- ual is forced to make decision by oneself when they are removed from the tradition. Since the personal- ity is changed from ＂giving＂ to ＂taking＂, the uncertainty rapidly increases. As for the immigrants, re- location weakens their traditional culture. The individualized society makes them feel more groundless and self-centered. They will encounter risk of fear and loss when they cannot find objective systems. To deal with these risks, the immigrants should firstly cognize the relationships between oneself and the other rationally. In doing so, methods from bottom-to-top will be a good choice for the immigrants to adopt to the customs, because traditional culture and authority have already been deconstructed.
