There is a trend among western scholars on the integration of the well-being concept, namely subjective well-being and hedonic well-being based on hedonism, psychological well-being and eudaimonic well-being based on eudaimonia. However, the elements that make up eudaimonic well-being is still debatable till this day. Therefore, future research on eudaimonic well-being will be more focused on its components, why these components make up eudaimonic well-being, why do these components have positive effects on people, and how to utilize eudaimonic well-being in the happiness economy as well as human resource management.
