农村进城务工人员没能相应分享到中国30多年改革开放带来的经济红利，主要原因是严重的机会不平等。利用2012年在北京市范围内对1025个农村进城务工人员进行调查获得的数据，研究发现，农村进城务工人员机会不平等认知与其幸福感之间存在显著的负相关关系，稳健性分析进一步确认了上述关系的存在。要避免农村进城务工人员成为影响社会不稳定的潜在力量，应改善其对机会不平等的认知状况。

It is commonly believed that unequal opportunity towards rural migrant workers accounts largely for the fact that the rural migrant workers benefit much less than others from fast economic growth, the main reason of which is serious inequality of opportunity. The investigation in the year of 2012 on 1025 rural migrant workers in Beijing indicates that there is a negative correlation between the cognition on the in- equality of opportunity from rural migrant workers and their subjective well-being. Rural migrant workers cognition on the inequality of opportunity need to be improved in order to avoid them becoming a potential threat to social instability.
