《历代稽勋录》是一本系统记载五代以来,湖南永顺彭氏历任土官、土司生平事迹与功勋的私家著述。书中对元末明初永顺土司归附明廷时间和经过的记载,与《明实录》、《明史》等史籍存在差异。本文意图通过对上述史籍记载之间的差异展开研究,探讨产生差异的原因,从而还原差异背后潜藏的历史真相。研究认为,《历代稽勋录》有关永顺土司归附明廷的记载是真实的,进而证实了它作为史料的可靠性。此书记载的真实可靠,一方面有助于更加清楚地了解元明之际某些特定历史进程的真实经过;另一方面也有助于认识与解读各种官私文本史料,揭示同一史事记载互有差异的成因。

The Official Genealogy of Chieftains is a private book recording life stories and feats of the successive local officials and chieftains since the Five Dynasties in Yongshun of Hunan Province. Its recording about the time and the process of the submission of Yongshun chieftain to the Ming court is different from those in other historical books such as The Codex of the Memoir of the Ming Dynasty and The History of the Ming Dynasty. This paper intends to make a study on different historical records of the mentioned books, discuss the reasons and reveal historical truth behind the differences. Through studying, the writer holds that the records their historical authenticity which can facilitate a better understanding of some special historical process on the one hand, and on the other hand, help understand and interpret various official and private historical texts and materials as well as reveal the reasons for different records of the same historical event.
