However, the development of shale gas is inseparable from the legal recognition. China＇s legal system of shale gas has advantages in law, which is also a necessary path of economic growth and environmental protection. In order to build and improve the legal system of shale gas, great stress should be put in reshaping the environmental impact assessment system, structuring the emission trading system and strengthening the public participation system. Meanwhile, it is necessary to specify the legal duty, thus to keep the consecutiveness, stability and certainty of shale gas development.
