话语分析是语言研究的一个重要组成部分，话语包括基本话语和元话语。几十年来，国内外学者和语言教师从修辞、语用、社会学、认知、功能角度在理论和实践上探讨了元话语，取得了令人可喜的成绩，但仍然还存在一些问题有待于解决。本文借助于前人对元话语研究的成果，首先解决元话语标记与元话语资源标记辨别问题；然后阐述元话语在各种语类中体现方式问题；最后运用元话语的性质及其语义功能和元话语三大原则分析和鉴别什么是元话语和什么是基本话语，为拓宽元话语研究视野奠定基础，为话语分析提供了一种实用有效的方法。

Discourse analysis is an important part of language study. Discourse includes metadiscourse and primary discourse. In several decades, scholars and language teachers at home and abroad have been exploring and studying metadiscourse from the perspective of rhetoric, pragmatics, sociology, cognition as well as function both in theory and in practice and have made great achievements. But there are still some problems to be resolved. Based on the former achievements, this paper will resolve the following problems. Firstly, how do we distinguish metadiscourse markers and metadiscourse resources markers？ Secondly, what are the ways of metadiscourse in different genres？ Then, finally, predominately applying metadiscourse nature and its semantic functions as well as three major principles, we analyze and identify metadiscourse and primary discourse. In this way, it will lay the foundation of broadening our vision for the study of metadiscourse and offer an effective method of discourse analysis.
