汉魏之际,学风大变,从章句训诂的经学一变而为谈玄析理的玄学。这思想变迁之间存在着一条内在理路,也就是汉末经学自身理论困乏,由此带来儒学对理论性资源的渴求,进而促成了对道家思想的引进。这肇始于对烦琐经学的不满,经由对道家思想的吸收及对经学诠释的改造,儒道思想的合流之势逐渐扩展,最终造就了魏晋玄学的新思潮。

The society was filled with chaos and unrest in the Han--Wei Dynasty, especially in history. The academic atmosphere changed, varied from study of Confucian classics to Neo--Taoism. The ideological change had an inner logic that the poverty of theory in study of Confucian classics led to the introduction of Taoist thought. This began in dissatisfaction with Confucian classics, through to absorption of the Taoist thought and the hermeneutics of Confucian classics, eventually led to the Neo--Taoism in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.
