截至2014年底,人类历史上最大规模的国际教育合作以及中国大学历史上最大规模的国际化项目——孔子学院已经走过了十年的历程。通过选取全球6大洲15个国家27所孔子学院的案例,以第一手实证数据揭示其发展模式、经验和挑战、在发达国家与发展中国家间的运作差异、以及在中国大学3.0走向国际化乃至世界文明发展中的深远意义。孔子学院的十年发展意义并不只是局限于在全球的汉语教学与中国文化推广,还在于是一个积极推动教育与人类文明多元发展、双向合作的中国模式,真正体现了和平、合作和平等的新境界。这一模式积极承担和发扬了不同文明之间交流和对话的和平使命,为孔子学院的进一步发展,为中国大学的国际合作和教育发展,甚至对于联合国教科文组织、世界银行等国际发展机构都提供了积极的借鉴意义。

As the largest international cooperation in education in human history and the largest internationalization project of Chinese universities, Confucius Institutes (CIs) have been adventurous in their first decade by 2014. Based on 27 CIs as cases for a comparative study from 15 countries in six continents, this paper focused on CIs' developmental models and experiences in both developed and developing countries, and their significance in the internationalization process of Chinese University 3.0 and the development of civilizations in the world. It is found that CIs' experiences over their first decade not only have been limited to Chinese language teaching and cultural promotion, but also have been a Chinese Model that dynamically promotes education and the diversity of human development and civilization in a new stage full of peace, mutuality and partnership. The Chinese Model has actively borne the responsibility to boost the exchange and dialogue among civilizations for global peace. CIs' experiences and lessons are helpful for international collaboration and development through education, and can contribute to such international agencies for development as the UNESCO and the World Bank. The empirical findings from this research have multiple policy implications for CIs' future development, internationalization of Chinese universities, and the diversification and advancement of global civilizations in the age of globalization.
