河南开封东大清真寺历史悠久，寺内清碑文载：“大梁清真寺，在城之东南隅，乃教人礼拜祝国之所也，起于唐贞观二年。”开封东大清真寺乃中原回族文化中心，尚武之风绵延不断。20世纪30年代，北京牛街回民沈友三始将中国式摔跤传入此地，一时间蔚然成风。采用文献资料、实地调查和访谈法，在河南开封顺河回族区进行调研，历时近两个月，走访了9位70岁以上老人及23位健在的跤技传人，收集了大量的口头资料和历史遗物，结合史志对口头资料进行分析，去伪存真，系统整理了开封东大寺中国式摔跤活动的发展历史，记述了东大寺当年跤坛上的风云人物，并对其历史价值进行评价。

Dongda Mosque, located in Kaifeng, Henan Province, enjoys a long history. One of its epigraphs writes, ＂Dongda Mosque was built in 1407. Standing in the southeast of the city, it is the very place for the followers to worship the country. ＂ As the centre of inland Hui minority culture, it was the origin of the Chinese wrestling, which was further development by Shen Yousan, a Hui minority in Niu Street of Beijing, who went there in 1933. In this paper, the history of Chinese wrestling of Dongda Mosque and the important people related were expounded on the basis of interviews of nine people over seventy and twenty three wrestlers as well as oral and written historical record.
