To open ethnic folk culture courses at universities in ethnic minority regions is a systematic project. Strengthening folk culture education for students in these universities is the demand of implementing educational policy of the State, promoting harmonious coexistence of all ethnic groups, constructing harmonious campus and maintaining stability of the local society. In the crucial period of a stable development of reforms in ethnic minority regions,ethnic folk cultural education will enhance the mutual understanding of minority students,strengthen national unity and stimulate students＇ love for their motherland and borderland.
