In the process of a major sports country marching towards a world sports power,the com-mercial value of athleteˊs image is gradually being developed.The issue of athleteˊs image right be-comes more and more important in the sports field,which brings a new subject in the study of athleteˊs right,and also provides possibility for the sports law that can make its own unique contribution in the professional image right field.Sport image,based on the athleteˊs competitive state in sports field,determined by the athletic ability,level and achievement,is the overall image whose carrier is athleteˊs personality factor.In essence,it is a professional image.Athletes have the right of possess-ing,using and licensing their image right in the commercial field,which is called sports image right.It is intangible property right in nature.
