宋代结束了五代十国的动荡局面,从根本上改变了唐末藩镇割据造成的诸地邮驿分裂状态,并进一步发展了较为完备的隋唐邮驿体制,增置枢密院以监控邮驿,分立馆驿与递铺,以兵卒替代驿卒,实行私书入递合法化,在强化中央集权、促进交通发展等方面具有重要影响。特别是始创邮驿史上的急脚递制度,顺应了时代发展的客观环境要求,更呈现出较为鲜明的邮驿特色,也促进了封建邮驿的发展。

The unrest situation of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period were ended by the Song Dynasty,and the state of disparate administrative regions and split post at the end of Tang Dynasty were changed fundamentally,which further developed the post system of Sui and Tang Dynasty. During the Song dynasty,the measures such as additional surveillance posts of the Privy Council,setting-up of Guanyi and Dipu,replacement of couriers with soldiers and the legalization of personal post greatly strengthened centralization and promoted transport development. The post system of Ji Jiao Di,in particular,is a pioneering measurement that meets the objective needs of the time. It also shows a more distinctive post feature,and promotes the post development in the feudal society.
