卡岗·扎西才让教授从事古藏文文献、吐蕃史、梵文等藏学研究工作二十余年,尤其古藏文文献研究方面取得的成果,在国内外藏学界有一定的影响。文章以古藏文文献为主线,结合运用藏文和梵文中词语的演变规则,着重探讨了敦煌文献的学术价值和研究方法,以及敦煌文献对于研究古代藏族历史文化和西域民族历史文化所具有的重要意义。通过对古藏文文献进行探讨认识,对中华民族多元一体格局中藏族历史文化的价值体系进行科学的研究和论证。

Professor Kagang·Tashi Tsering has been engaged in the studies of ancient Tibetan literatures, thehistory of Tubo, Sanskrit and so on for more than 20 years, and hisachievements in the study of ancient Tibetanliteratures have a certain influence in Tibetan studies at home and abroad. Based on the development of Tibetanand Sanskrit words, this article discusses the academic value and research methods of Dunhuang literatures, andthe significance of the study of Dunhuang literatures to the study of ancient Tibetan history and culture as well asthe western ethnic nations＇. Moreover, the value system of the Tibetan history and culture in China, a multi-eth-nic country, is studied and demonstrated through ancient Tibetan literature research.
