Deng Xiaoping led the Baise Uprising and the Longzhou Uprising during the SOviet Area Period. Fur- ther more, he established Zuoyoujiang Revolutionary Base Area which showed his faith and ideal deeply in mind. Al- though Deng Xiaoping suffered his first down in lifetime during the Soviet Area Period, he still cared for the people and excluded difficulty and anxiety for the people, which had fully demonstrated that he kept the purpose of serving for the people deeply in his heart. Besides, being in chief of Red Star, he always put theory into real practice. He rectified the ＂leftism＂ errors in eliminating the counterrevolutionaries, and steadily shouldered the responsibility. He punished corruption and advocated the building of a clean government. As an official, he had the important manner of clean hands, cared for neither fame nor status. All these have firmly manifested the good image of a cadre featu- ring ＂keeping unwavering faith, serving for the people, being diligent and pragmatic, being brave to shoulder respon-sibility and being honest and clean＂.
