After studying the Ph.D and Ed.L.D program of the Harvard graduate school of education, we find that: the basic route of doctoral interdisciplinary training includes interdisciplinary degree, interdisciplinary setting professional direction, interdisciplinary faculty, interdisciplinary setting and studying courses, etc. The fundamental purpose of doctoral interdisciplinary training includes that training outstanding academic leaders who has interdisciplinary quality and can solve the complex problem of education, promoting a formal cooperation relationship between disciplines, and promoting the generation of new synergies and resource. Problem orientation is the basic characteristics of doctoral interdisciplinary training. The path and characteristics of American doctoral interdisciplinary training have important inspiration significance to our country.
