The study on the relation between residence and employment has become one of the important research con- tents of urban geography. Based on the data of questionnaire sur- vey to residents, this essay inquires into the general characteris- tics and spatial differences of residents' job - housing relation in Hefei City from the scale of municipal district and urban sphere structure. The influence on the balance of job- housing space from the residents' individually basic factors, economic factors and institutional factors is analyzed.
