The development of schools has gone through two eras. The Second-era schools have overall-situation severe problems, therefore, we must turn to third-era schools. The core mission of third-era schools is to promote the all-round and individualized development of all school members. The basic bases of this core mission include： the ideal of the Man; the potential of the Man; the new needs of the society. The basic contents of the core mission of the Second-era schools include： the subjects of development are all school members; all-round development rich in new age connotations; individualized development rich in new age connotations.
