东江是珠江的重要支流,东江文明是珠江文明的重要组成部分,近年来关于东江文明的起源地问题的研究引起了国内学者的高度关注,但总体而言研究成果不丰富、研究观点不统一、争议颇多。从对历史、考古资料、文化风俗等方面的考证,东江文明起源地为河源龙川这一新观点不无道理。
