The construction of massive open online courses （MOOCs） in American colleges and universities is in the lead around the world. Their features are as follows： multiple teaching ideas, free and flexible way of learning, comprehensive and in-depth data support, evaluation through human-computer interaction and operation with the cooperation between colleges and enterprises. Its enlightenments to our country are： fully understanding the revolutionary influence of information technology on the development of higher education, laying emphasis on the development of MOOCs and their platforms with Chinese characteristics and actively building China＇s higher education from the vision of ed- ucation informationization.
