运用文献计量分析方法,从文献增长规律、文献利用情况、期刊分布规律、学科分布、作者分布规律、科研实力以及研究热点七个维度,对web of science数据库中收录的MMORPG研究文献进行了实证分析。研究发现,学界对MMORPG的研究,总体上还处于起步阶段,围绕这一主题的研究论文尚未步入指数型增长的成熟发展阶段;文献传播范围有限,且反应速度较慢;期刊分布和学科分布呈高度离散状态;核心作者群尚未形成;研究机构较为分散,尚未形成核心研究机构;研究议题有待进一步拓展。

By means of biblio-metrical method, this paper has analyzed MMORPG-related articles collected in the database of Web of Science from the following perspectives： the increase pattern of documents, the utility of documents, the distribution of periodicals, the distribution of subjects, the distribution of authors, the research capacity and focus. The result shows that the academic research about MMORPG is still in the infant stage in terms of exponential growth; document communication is limited and reactions are slow; the distributions of periodicals and subjects are still in discrete state; the ring of core authors has not been formed; the communication between research institutions has not been established; and research topics have not been properly developed.
