西北汉简中有一种人的身份称＂施刑＂,与史书中出现的＂弛刑＂相对应,他们是经皇上诏书恩准后的一种囚徒。前贤已有的研究受资料所限仍存在一些不完整的认识,得助于金关汉简和悬泉汉简资料的补充,有关＂施刑＂的来由、征发派遣、使用管理和回归故里等一系列＂来龙去脉＂的环节就很清楚了。金关汉简中记录了＂施刑＂屯作居延有＂一日当二日＂的优待,且服役期满后者还可以归原籍。

＂Excruciation＂, a status corresponding to ＂relaxation punishment＂ in northwestern bamboo slips of the Han dynasty, is a kind of criminals with imperial edict from emperors. Owing to the limitation of literature, there were some incompleteness in the past study. Thanks to the supplements of Jinguan and Xuanquan bamboo slips of the Han dynasty, the origin and related history of ＂Excruciation＂ become quite clear.＂Excruciation＂ criminals in Juyuan were given preferential treatment of ＂identifying one day as two＂ and permitted to return their native home after imprisonment, which was recorded in Jinguan bamboo slips of the Han dynasty.
