基于中国珠三角地区实地调查数据,文章分析了农民工社会关系网以及朋友圈对其工资的影响。在研究农民工社会关系网对其工资影响的基础上,文章探讨朋友圈中的教育网差效应和职业网差效应对其工资的影响机理和程度。研究发现：整体上看,农民工个人社会网络对其工资有正向影响;农民工最好朋友的教育程度和职业地位对农民工工资具有显著正向影响。更进一步,朋友圈内教育网差效应的表现跟农民工与该朋友的社会距离有关,社会距离越近,此种效应相对越大;而职业网差效应的表现跟农民工与朋友的社会距离关系不大。在排除自选择因素以及考虑教育的内生性问题、工资与教育网差及职业网差的联立关系后,上述结论仍然成立。

This study uses a survey data from the Pearl River Delta of China to analyze the social network and the friend circle of migrant workers that impact their wages. It discusses why and how the education and occupa- tion gaps of friend circles have impact on migrant workers＇ wages, based on an analysis of their social connections＇ impact on their wages. We find that individuals＇ social connections have significant positive effects on migrants＇ wages; and the education level and occupation status of the migrant workers＇ friends have signifi- cantly positive effect to their wages. Moreover, the education gap effects rely on the social distance between the migrant worker and his or her friends. The shorter the social distance, the larger the magnitude of the effects. Meanwhile, the occupation gap effects hardly rely on social distance. The aforementioned result is consistent when considering the potential issue of self - selection, endogeneity of education, simultaneity between the wage and education gap and the occupation gap.
