China＇s urbanization process has accelerated. To clarify the innovation dimension of the public security admin- istrative reform during the urbanization process, we need to think the following issues： the innovation essence, the challenges and the breakthroughs. The urbanization with Chinese characteristics requires the pub lic security organs to implement explorations in the management system and mechanism, to transform ideas, to safeguard the people＇s livelihood, to build the people - oriented policing model, to modernize the policing mechanism, to construct the conflict coordination and stability mechanism, and to innovate the policing coop- eration mechanism based on information resource sharing model.
