本文借助＂英汉文学名著语料库＂（ECCC）,以语言类型学为切入点,对英汉两种语言的连词使用情况展开考察。文章介绍了ECCC取样范畴、基本构成及选取依据,对语料库中英、汉源语文本,英-汉、汉-英翻译文本进行定量分析,力图用数据揭示英汉语篇衔接中连词使用数量、分布和用法方面的异同,旨在发掘英汉连词翻译及转换规律以及经由翻译对译入语可能产生的影响。

Based on the English-Chinese Classics Corpus（ ECCC）,this paper makes quantitative and contrastive studies of conjunctions from the perspective of linguistic typology. After a brief introduction to the sampling,rationale and construction of the corpus,the author investigates the use and distribution of English and Chinese conjunctions in the four subcorpora of ECCC so as to explore similarities and differences of discourse cohesion in both languages. The research also aims to illustrate the translation mechanism of English-Chinese conjunctions and the possible inter-lingual influence upon the target language.
