吕祖谦《十七史详节》对艺文、经籍之志的节录,一定程度上反映了其学术取向和治学特点,如关注学术源流与通变,重视史学及事功,重史而不轻文,等等。但从文献学专业维度考察,《十七史详节》对＂艺文志＂的节录也存在明显缺陷,如只录序论而不著书目,摒弃道、释文献,轻视唐代文献,等等。但《十七史详节》中的艺文、经籍之志在普及学术史知识方面仍有其独特的价值。《十七史详节》＂艺文志＂节录的面貌及缺失,除了吕祖谦学术思想和教育思想的主导作用,还与此丛书师徒合纂的成书方式有密切关系。

Excerpts of catalogues of biographical history and Confucian classics （ Yiwen Zhi and Jingji Zhi） excerpted by Lu Zuqian, to a certain degree, reflects his academic orientation and scholastic characteris-tics.For instance, he focused on the academic headstream and flexibility, emphasized the importance of histo-riography and practical contributions, and stressed history while in the meantime never underestimated litera-ture.Judging from the perspective of philology, however, such defects as extracting prefaces without cata-logues, abandoning Taoist and Buddhism documents, and neglecting literature of the Tang Dynasty, could be found, concerning the excerpts of the catalogues of biographical history （ Yiwen Zhi ） from Shiqishi Xiangjie （ Excerpts of the Seventeen History Records） .Nevertheless, the catalogues of biographical history and Confucian classics from Shiqishi Xiangjie still enjoy unique values in popularizing knowledge of academic history.To sum up, the defects of the excerpts from Lu Zuqian results not only from his academic and educational philosophy, but also from the way the books were compiled, which, were products of both Lu and his disciples.
