书信礼仪是人们在长期通信实践中形成而且必须遵守的礼仪规范。书信礼仪自从形成一整套系统以后,对社会的影响力是形成系统以前不可比拟的,主要表现在三个方面：首先,它影响着人与人之间由于空间、等级、情感、思想等所形成的各种关系;其次,它推动了中国书法艺术的发展;最后,它丰富了人们的审美情趣。

The ritual specifications on letters were those formed by letter writing practice in a long time. Some incomparable influences were imposed on the society since these rituals were systemized. The influences mainly existed on these three aspects： First, it affected every relationship that was formed by space, class, feelings, thought and so on. Second, it promoted the development of Chinese Calligraphy. The Calligraphers written by ancient books approximated one hundred and fifty persons and the good productions of calligraphy approached one hundred pieces in the histories of approximating four hundred about Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties. Finally, it enriched the aesthetic interest of people. The beauty of writing was like a dragon swimming, a phoenix flying, ten thousand horses rushing, fog rising in the morning, long eyebrows of belle, solid pillar, and the tune lingered in the room and pleasant sounds of lyre. The magic power of character painted many pieces of pictures of vivid and impressive and said purified functions of people heart affected by beautiful nature. The rituals of writing standardized the rituals on letters and strongly attracted people to follow them.
