政治合法性是指公众对某种政治秩序或统治的信仰与服从,在一定意义上带有较强的主观色彩。公众对政治事物要保持一种认同、忠诚的态度,其要求是随着时代的变迁而变化的,因此任何政治系统要满足合法性需求,其核心政治安排就不能一成不变。从政治合法性的视角审视吉登斯的政治观以及我国当下的政治理念,可以发现：无论是从解放政治到生活政治,还是当下以民生关注为价值诉求的民生政治,都是跟随时代变迁的脚步,为满足不同时期公众的合法性需求做出的核心政治之变。
