元代诗序文是一笔丰厚的文学遗产，其中蕴含着元人丰富的诗学思想与颇成体系的诗学理论。元人对诗学本源问题进行了深入思考与多方阐述，他们在前人文章论及传统诗论的基础上，标举“诚”“志”“理”“气”“人情”“性情”等诗学本源命题，并探讨其互联关系，渐次由哲学本体推衍至文学本体，最终达成“诗以性情为本”的共识，从而建构起尚自然的“性情之真”与尚伦理的“性情之正”的“双核”诗学本源理论。
원대시서문시일필봉후적문학유산，기중온함착원인봉부적시학사상여파성체계적시학이론。원인대시학본원문제진행료심입사고여다방천술，타문재전인문장론급전통시론적기출상，표거“성”“지”“리”“기”“인정”“성정”등시학본원명제，병탐토기호련관계，점차유철학본체추연지문학본체，최종체성“시이성정위본”적공식，종이건구기상자연적“성정지진”여상윤리적“성정지정”적“쌍핵”시학본원이론。
The Yuan Dynasty poetic preface is a rich literary heritage, which contains abundantthoughts of poetics and a systematic theory of poetics. The in-depth reflection and multi elaboration onpoetic origin by the Yuan scholars, based on the previous literary theories and the traditional poetics,stress such propositions of poetic origin as ＂honesty＂, ＂Zhi＂, ＂science＂, ＂Qi＂, ＂human＂, ＂nature＂and explore the relationship among them. Gradually these scholars shifted their focus from the philo-sophical ontology to the literary ontology and arrived at the common cognition of ＂poetry should bebased on disposition＂, thus formulating a ＂dual-core＂ theory of poetic origin that values the natural-ness as in ＂true disposition＂ and the ethics as in ＂correct disposition＂.
