自《最新国文教科书》乃至《蒙学课本》开始，外国作品就被编入语文教材并延续至今。但外国作品在被编入教材时，却在翻译方面存在着译诗改变原诗形式与风格、科普译文对科学性重视不够、译文细节错误引起史实偏误等方面的问题。对此，教材编写者在编选外国作品时，需尽量甄别译本或回到源语言文本，少用乃至不用不适合学生接受水平的译文或者来源不明、资料有误的作品，同时在改编时也需对译文类型的不同特征予以重视。
자《최신국문교과서》내지《몽학과본》개시，외국작품취피편입어문교재병연속지금。단외국작품재피편입교재시，각재번역방면존재착역시개변원시형식여풍격、과보역문대과학성중시불구、역문세절착오인기사실편오등방면적문제。대차，교재편사자재편선외국작품시，수진량견별역본혹회도원어언문본，소용내지불용불괄합학생접수수평적역문혹자래원불명、자료유오적작품，동시재개편시야수대역문류형적불동특정여이중시。
Foreign works have been selected and edited into Chinese textbooks since the first series of modern Chinese textbooks Chinese National Readers and even the earlier textbooks Elementary Text. However, there are some translation problems： translators optionally change the form and style of original foreign poems; scientific popular articles lose their scientific objectivity and accuracy; some errors of translation in details damage historical authenticity of the textbooks. Therefore, in order to resolve these problems, textbook editor and writers should comply fully with the principles to distinguish translation among different versions and proofread translation according to original works, and should not select those translations which are not suitable for the level of students and those works which are written according to some wrong or unidentified documents as possible as they can. Furthermore, we should pay more attention to different characteristics of different genres in the adaption.
