文本从三方面探讨了粟特语对回鹘语的影响。一是介绍了粟特与突厥一回鹘的接触，大约从公元6世纪中叶突厥人创建其第一突厥汗国的时代起，作为东伊朗语族成员之一的粟特人就充当了丝绸之路上的商业民族和文化导师；二是分析了回鹘语中粟特语借词的9个特点，如以z-，s-，f-，v-起首的词语，词中含有z的词语，一般而言，如果在粟特语里可以找到对应的词，凡是突厥一回鹘语中有这些词语的出现，就基本可以确定是粟特语借词；三是从借词看粟特语对回鹘语的深刻影响：首先，探讨了早期突厥一回鹘语中的政治官衔称号，其大多也来自粟特语；其次，通过借词可以看到粟特人在经济和日常生活上对回鹘也有较大的影响；第三，从借词看粟特人在宗教文化上对回鹘语的影响。

The essay probes into the effect of Sogdian on old Uyghur language in three aspects： first, introduction is made about touch between Sogdian and Turkic-old Uyghur language, when Turkic people, starting from mid-6th AD or so, established the first Turkic Khanate and Sogdian people, as one member of east Iranian-speaking group, acted as a commercial ethnic group and cultural tutor on the silk road; second, analysis is made about 9 characters of loaned Sogdian in old Uyghur, such as： words started with z-, g-, f-, v- including expressions containing ~. Generally, if Sogdian contains correspondents and such words appear in Turkic-old Uyghur language, Loaned Sogdian words can be basically determined; third, judging from the profound effect of Sogdian on old Uyghur language, probe is first made into official rank titles in earlier Turkic-old Uyghur language, mostly from Sogdian followed by loaned words to enable Sogdian people to take greater effect on old Uyghur in economy and daily life; third,Sogdian people＇s effect on old Uyghur language is judged from loaned words in religious culture.
