曼德勒为缅甸第二大城市，它既是缅甸地理意义上的中心，也是缅北地区政治、经济与文化的中心。近年来，随着曼德勒华人的日益增多，华人与当地主体族群———缅人的关系成为曼德勒最重要的族群关系之一，而这种关系并非总是处于友好和谐的状态，甚至时而可以体会到这座城市中的反华情绪。笔者通过田野调查发现，曼德勒华人在都市的法理空间中，践行熟人社会的社会交往方式是导致出现这种紧张族群关系的重要原因之一。综合曼德勒华人与缅人两个群体的表述，揭示日常生活中曼德勒华人的熟人社会的社会交往方式，将会为理解曼德勒华人的境遇及缅华关系提供一种新的视角。
만덕륵위면전제이대성시，타기시면전지리의의상적중심，야시면북지구정치、경제여문화적중심。근년래，수착만덕륵화인적일익증다，화인여당지주체족군———면인적관계성위만덕륵최중요적족군관계지일，이저충관계병비총시처우우호화해적상태，심지시이가이체회도저좌성시중적반화정서。필자통과전야조사발현，만덕륵화인재도시적법리공간중，천행숙인사회적사회교왕방식시도치출현저충긴장족군관계적중요원인지일。종합만덕륵화인여면인량개군체적표술，게시일상생활중만덕륵화인적숙인사회적사회교왕방식，장회위리해만덕륵화인적경우급면화관계제공일충신적시각。
Mandalay is the second biggest city in Myanmar. It is not only the center of Myanmar in the sense of ge-ography,but also the political,economic,and cultural center of upper Myanmar. Recently,with the increase of Myanmar Chinese in Mandalay,the relationship between Burmese and Chinese becomes one of the most important in the area of ethnic group relationship. And this relationship is not always in a friendly mood. We can even feel the sense of anti-Chinese depression in this city. After long-term field work there,I found that in the jurisprudence world,Myanmar Chinese in Mandalay practice acquaintance society in social interaction,which is one of the most important causes of this intense ethnic relationship. Combining the different statements from these two ethnic groups,I found that the way of acquaintance society in social interaction among Myanmar Chinese in Mandalay pro-vides a new perspective to interpret the situation of Myanmar Chinese in Mandalay and the relationship between My-anmar Chinese and Burmese in Mandalay.
