在中国统一多民族国家构建过程中,边疆少数民族通过自治运动推进自身政治发展。20世纪上半期,蒙古民族在内蒙古先后发起了三次大规模的自治运动,基于不同的动因和推动力量,三次自治运动勾画出了半个世纪中内蒙古地区政治发展的主线。在民族主义、地方主义和民族国家构建三重作用下,蒙古民族最终选择了与其他民族共同构建统一多民族国家,走出了光辉的民族-民主革命道路,成为我国民族区域自治的典范。

In the process of building a unified multinational country of China,ethnic groups in border areas have pushed ahead their political development through autonomy movement. In the first half of the 20 th century,Mongolians launched three large-scaled autonomy movements in Inner Mongolia out of different motives and driven by different forces. These three movements outlined the political development of Inner Mongolia in that period. Finally,under the influence of nationalism,localism and the construction of a nation state,Mongolians chose the way of building a unified multinational country together with other ethnic groups,moved forward along the national and democratic revolutionary road and became a model of regional ethnic autonomy in China.
