龙母传说与信仰在环大明山壮族地区广泛流传。武鸣县多地有龙母庙、龙母屯、龙母岩洞等祭拜龙母的遗址,是龙母文化传承发扬的典型。龙母文化不仅通过口头传承,更透过日常生活中的吃鱼生食俗、岩洞葬葬俗、蛇图腾崇拜及其日常禁忌、三月三歌节与三月三扫墓习俗等方面实践来加以展演和传播。在这些文化事象中,壮族的龙母文化得到了充分表达,族群认同感和凝聚力也不断得到强化。

룡모전설여신앙재배대명산장족지구엄범류전。무명현다지유룡모묘、룡모둔、룡모암동등제배룡모적유지,시룡모문화전승발양적전형。룡모문화불부통과구두전승,경투과일상생활중적흘어생식속、암동장장속、사도등숭배급기일상금기、삼월삼가절여삼월삼소묘습속등방면실천래가이전연화전파。재저사문화사상중,장족적룡모문화득도료충분표체,족군인동감화응취력야불단득도강화。
The legend and faith of Dragon Mother are widespread in the area around Daming Mountain where the ethnic Zhuang lives. There are many sites of worshiping the Dragon Mother,such as the Dragon Mother temple,Dragon Mother village,and Dragon Mother cave in Wuming county. All of these make Wuming a typical place of inheritance of and carrying forward the Dragon Mother culture. Not only is the Dragon Mother culture inherited through oral way,but it is also shown and spread through the daily life practice,for instance,the custom of eating raw fish,cave burial,snake totem worship and daily taboo,song festival and sweeping graves on the third of March in lunar calendar. The Dragon Mother culture of the Zhuang is fully expressed in these cultural phenomena,and ethnic identity and cohesion are thus strengthened.
