英语教学个性化是英语教学改革的一个重要实践方向,作为英语教学的一个重要方面,英语语用教学亦需个性化。从原则上看,英语语用个性化教学需要充分把握不同学习者的个性,了解学习者的年龄,准确评估他们的英语水平,并认真分析差异化的语用学习需求,从而选择合适的语用教学内容。从方法上看,需要采用有效的个性化教学方法,以便更具针对性地促进中国英语学习者语用能力的提高。

Individualized English teaching is one of the tend- encies in the practice of English pedagogical reform, which entails that English pragmatic teaching, an essential part in English teaching, should also develop in the direction of in- dividualization. Basically, for teachers in the English lan- guage classrooms, they should bear in mind such principles as understanding their personalities, learning about their students' age,assessing their English proficiencies and care- fully analyzing their pragmatic learning needs so as to make suitable choices for the teaching targets. In addition, they should also selectively adopt individualized teaching methods for the sake of best efficiency in improving different English learners' pragmatic competence in China.
