曾国藩的树人育才、识人用人之道,对中国近现代一大批军政人才的培育产生了深远的影响。其内容包括：首先,“凡将相无种,圣贤豪杰亦无种,只要人肯立志,都可以做得到的”,关键在“以有恒为主”、勤劳习苦、谦谨、明强。第二,用兵行政,以选拔人才为第一义,而“人才以陶冶而成”,应十分耐心地去访寻发现人才,培养教育人才,并善于使用人才。第三,人才随风气为转移,应以身作则地去带头转变社会风气,为人才的大批涌现营造良好的社会环境。曾氏的这些思想,对我们今天实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦,仍有着重要启示。

Zeng Guofan＇s ways of cultivating and knowing what kind of people could be used has exerted profound influence on bringing up new generations of successors in the armies and governments in modem times in China＇s histo- ry. These include, firstly, no high ranking officers are inborn, nor are sages and people of virtue inborn. So long as one is determined, one is bound to make achievements. The decisive factors for making achievements are perseverance, dili- gence, modesty, wisdom and good health. Secondly, the most important thing is to choose talented people both in using military forces and in running the country. A favorable influence should be exerted on the people in order that they be- come talented. Great patience is needed in not only looking for talented people, but also cultivate them and using them efficiently. Thirdly, since talented people change easily with social morals, the leading group should take the lead in changing bad social morals and establish a good social environment to welcome talented people in large numbers. Zeng＇s ideas still have great influence on and enlightenment to the Chinese people, especially in realizing their dreams of na- tional revival today.
