从资源概念的本质属性出发，将旅游资源概念界定为“自然界和人类社会中凡能对大众旅游者产生吸引力的各种客观存在因素的总和”；并以岩溶学理论为指导，综合前人研究成果，对岩溶旅游资源的本质属性进行了分析，提出岩溶旅游资源新的定义．即指凡在岩溶区内且由岩溶作用直接形成的，能对大众旅游者产生吸引力的各种可溶性岩石蚀余物或沉积物的总和．

Based on the essential attribute of ＂resources＂, firstly the new concept of tourism resources is defined as all thebeings in the nature and human society which attract the popular tourists. Secondly, guided by the theory of Karst, the papersynthesizes the existing research results, and analyzes the essential attribute of Karst tourism resources. Finally, it put forwardthe new definition of the Karst tourism resources, namely, all the leftovers and sediments of soluble rocks, which are formeddirectly by the Karstification in the Karst areas and can attract popular tourists.
