＂问题与主义＂之争在中国现代思想史上产生过重要的影响,直到上世纪90年代,它仍以新的形式出现过。以往,人们对这一争论大多是从政治上来理解和评价,但对于这场争论的理论质量和理论问题并未予以足够的反思和重视,以致这场争论无法对于后来产生必要的教训。这场争论理论上的根本问题在于,争论的各方都缺乏必要的哲学素养和思考,没有对所涉及的重要问题进行深入的分析和厘清,对＂主义＂、＂问题＂、＂工具＂等概念本身往往停留在字面的理解上,缺少深入的探讨,因而对学理的重视只是停留在口头上,以为靠输入学理就能解决问题,而不对输入的学说做深入的研究,迷信主义的力量,结果既未深入主义,也未深入问题。在这场争论发生近百年之后,这一争论本质所暴露出来的问题并没有真正消失,学理仍然是说的人甚多,研究者绝少。因此,从学理的角度反思这一争论十分必要。

The debate of ＂Problems and-isms＂had great influence on modern intellectual history of modern China.Until 1990 s,it still resurfaced in new forms. However,this issue was used to be understood or evaluated from political stand,and the theoretical quality or theoretical problems were not yet paid enough attention to. People have not learnt necessary lessons from this debate. The fundamental problem is that all the participants in this debate,weak in philosophical preparation, limited themselves to the literal understanding of those concepts such as ＂-ism ＂,＂problem＂,＂tool＂,had no deep analysis or combing of the relevant important issues. They claimed to value theories and doctrines, but in fact were content with only introducing various Western doctrines. As a result, neither＂problems＂nor＂isms＂had been researched thoroughly. The phenomenon revealed by this debate lasted to the date：theories are discussed much more than being researched. Therefore it is necessary to rethink on this issue from the philosophical perspective.
