2010年，两岸同时推出了汉语教学词表，大陆《等级划分》和台湾《基础词库》初级词表收词数量在2100个上下，而共现词仅占一半左右。对词频标准和非词结构的态度在不同程度上影响了两个词表的选词，而两岸语言生活的差别对选词的影响则微乎其微。《等级划分》以大规模标准口语对话体语料作为最重要的选材依据，《基础词库》注重学习者语言情境的实际需求，这两点值得充分肯定。

In 2010, both mainland China and Taiwan introduced vocabulary lists for Chinese language education. The two elementary level vocabulary lists includes around 2100 words, but the words shared in two lists only comprise about half. The attitudes towards standards of word frequencies and phrases have influenced the selection of words, however lifestyle differences between mainland China and Taiwan has had very little impact. ＂The Grading of Chinese Syllables, Characters and Vocabulary for International Teaching＂ uses a large collection of oral corpus to act as the most important factor for selecting content. ＂Basic Vocabulary for Teaching English as a Second Language＂ on the other hand pays particular attention to the situation requirements of language learners. Both methods are worth acknowledging.
