u—MAP是由欧盟委员会赞助支持的欧洲高等教育机构分类项目，是欧洲第一个权威性的高等教育机构分类工具。用户导向性是欧洲高校分类的核心理念，用户导向性使欧洲高校分类更有普适性、权威性和科学性。本文从分类原则、进程、工具、维度和指标以及结果的制定来探讨欧洲高校分类的用户导向性，并且透视了U—MAP如何坚持用户导向性的核心理念，借鉴欧洲高校分类的经验，我国在进行高校分类时，要以高校自愿为前提收集数据、有便于用户使用的工具、方案具有动态性、维度和指标满足各类用户的需求、采用描述性分类结果等。

U-MAP is the classification program of European higher education institutions sponsored by The European commission, and is the first authoritative classification tool of European higher education institutions. User-oriented concept is the core of the classification of European higher education institutions, which makes the classification more universal, authoritative and scientific. The article explores user-orientation of the classification of European higher education institutions from several aspects such as design principles of classification, classifi- cation process, classification tools, classification dimensions, indicators and results. And it analyzes how the U-MAP maintains the user-oriented core concept. Learning from the experience of the classification of European higher education institutions, we should adhere voluntary principle in collecting data, as user-oriented tool, dy- namic classification, designing the dimensions and indicators to meet the needs of user, using the descriptive classification results in the classification of higher education institutions in our country.
