The success of the postgraduate program in public policy at George Mason University is highly acclaimed in the U. S. and serves as a good example for us to learn from in China. With a description of the program and the fast development of American postgraduate education, suggestions are offered for postgraduate education in China, particularly for supervisor selection, academic rights, student aid and development strategy.
